> Sproutlink is a WiFi soil moisture sensor and smart plant monitoring system. It uses wireless ESP32-C6 sensors and a WiFi gateway to track soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and light in real time. The companion web app at sproutlink.io provides a live dashboard, configurable push and email alerts, AI-powered plant care chat, historical charts, and a plant sitter sharing mode. Sproutlink works as a standalone smart garden system or alongside Home Assistant and other smart home platforms.

## Product

Sproutlink is a wireless soil moisture sensor system consisting of two hardware components and a web app:

- **Sproutlink Sensor**: A wireless ESP32-C6 soil moisture sensor (Thread Sleepy End Device) that measures soil moisture, temperature, humidity, light, and battery level. Battery-powered, updates every 15 minutes. Designed for indoor and outdoor use in pots, raised beds, and garden soil.
- **Sproutlink Gateway**: An ESP32-C6 Thread Border Router and WiFi bridge. Plugs into USB-C and relays sensor data to the cloud via WiFi. Supports multiple sensors on a single gateway.
- **Sproutlink Web App** (sproutlink.io): A Progressive Web App built with Next.js. Real-time soil moisture dashboard, smart alerts (push and email), AI plant care chat (powered by Claude), historical sensor charts, and plant sitter mode for sharing with caretakers.
